Jennifer Hatch named first-team academic all-district |

Charlotte, NC - Charlotte 49ers senior women's tennis player Jennifer Hatch has been named to the first-team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District III At-Large team. The at-large team, selected by CoSIDA, consists of student-athletes that participated in bowling, crew, golf, rifle, gymnastics, skiing, water polo, field hockey, ice hockey, swimming, tennis and lacrosse.
Hatch has a 3.96 GPA in civil engineering. She reached double-figure singles wins for the fourth straight season with 14 wins mostly at number six singles. She finished the season by winning six of her final nine singles matches including a straight sets win over Lindsay Brown from Cincinnati in the Conference USA Tournament. She also teamed with Ali Piacente to form the 49ers number three doubles team. They finished the season with 16 wins including victories in their final three matches.
The Snellville, Georgia native finished her career with 53 singles victories which ties her for the ninth most victories in school history. She also won 44 doubles matches in her career.
Hatch was awarded the Bonnie Cone Award for Academic Excellence as a sophomore. The Bonnie Cone Award is given to the Charlotte female student-athlete with the highest GPA. She was also a four-time member of the Conference USA Commissioner's honor roll.
As a result of being named first-team academic all-district, she will represent the district on the national ballot for Academic All-America honors.
