Nagy Advances To US Public Links Quarterfinals

7/18/2008 - Charlotte 49ers rising junior Corey Nagy won two matches, Thursday to advance to Friday's quarterfinals at the 83rd Annual U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship at Murphy Creek G.C. in Aurora, Colo. Nagy defeated Patrick Lundy, 4&2 in the round of 32 and then eliminated Grant Leaver, 2&1 to reach the final eight.

Nagy In Contention at 83rd US Public Links

7/16/2008 - Charlotte 49ers rising junior golfer Corey Nagy (Charlotte, N.C./Vance H.S.) is once again in contention at the US Amateur Public Links Championship. Nagy, who reached the semifinals of the event in 2007, advanced through stroke play and has won his first round match. He will face Patrick Lundy of Little River, S.C., in the second round, Thursday (7:54 a.m. tee time). The winner of the event gets an invitation to The Masters. Read Full Release
